RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces (Refresh)
This is a refresher course for Confined Space. Those wishing to enrol in this course will be required to provide a copy of their last Confined Space statement of attainment as a prerequisite.
Confined spaces are usually not designed for people to work in.
They often have poor ventilation, which allows hazardous atmospheres to quickly develop, especially if the space is small. In addition, hazards are not always obvious and may change from one entry point to the next.
- If possible you should eliminate the need for people to enter a confined space. Entry to a confined space is considered to happen when a person’s head or upper body enters the space.
This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.
This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles undertaking work in confined spaces.
Booking is essential and must be paid for at time of booking.
