Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) Face to Face

The SITHGAM201 Provide Responsible Gambling Services unit provides the foundational skills and knowledge necessary for working in or operating a Queensland gambling venue, enabling compliance with relevant legislation. The Customer Liaison Officer unit builds on this information to further equip individuals for these roles.

This CLO course is designed to help venues and gaming staff meet legislative requirements associated with operating a gambling venue in Queensland. The course covers a range of skills and knowledge related to responsible gambling, such as: providing feedback on patrons gambling activities or requests, helping patrons who seek assistance, assisting thirdparty members, providing information on selfexclusions and maintaining relevant forms and registers, and more. Additionally, the course covers providing information about counselling services, odds on winning, and any other relevant information and signage. It aims to help staff understand and comply with problem gambling legislation, as well as provide support to those with gamblingrelated problems.
