GEORGIA
Meet our Hospitality Trainer and Assessor, Georgia. Georgia’s extensive experience in food and beverage operations comes from her time spent working in cafes, taverns, rooftop bars, sporting clubs, turf clubs, hotels and restaurants. She brings with her invaluable hands-on industry experience across a multitude of hospitality venues, as well a wealth of previous experience training and assessing in hospitality at Certificate and Diploma levels.
Georgia has been involved in training throughout her entire career and has a natural affinity for facilitating others to learn new skills to develop their knowledge. Her classes are very informative and engaging, regardless of whether they are face-to-face sessions or a virtual session facilitated by Microsoft Teams. Georgia can assist you with your hospitality training needs no matter where you may be and will guide you seamlessly to success.

BILL
Bill has worked in a variety of jobs from real estate, stock and station agent, Dogging, Rigging, Crane operation and in 2015 on to high-risk training and assessment.
In 1990, Bill advanced his knowledge in lifting operations by securing a Non-slew crane licence, Dogger licence and Rigger licence. This enabled him to gain invaluable experience in the construction and mining industries throughout Australia and our Mackay region.
With a strong safety record, exceptional lifting knowledge and years of practical experience, Bill received accreditation from WorkSafe Qld authorising him to offer high-risk assessment training in Crane operation, Rigging and Dogging.
Always up to the challenge, Bill has added to his repertoire and can now also train in Forklift operation, EWP operation, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Gas Test Atmospheres and Construction White Card.

DENIS
Denis Valjak has recently joined the team at QTS as our new Mining, Construction and Safety Trainer and Assessor. Denis has worked in a variety of jobs and industries within the Bowen Basin and our very own Mackay District and has gained invaluable experience within his mining career, as a result of his work in the gold and coal mining industries, as well as the coal ports.
Denis’s achievements have been the result of working steadfastly towards his goals to advance his learnings. He has first-hand experience in the duties involved in working in processing plants, mine site maintenance work, coal port terminal operation and various equipment ranging from loaders, forklifts, operating stacker reclaimers, ship loaders and unloading trains.
Denis further advanced his knowledge and skills by becoming a trainer and assessor in the delivery of business and HR training packages from Certificate II through to diploma level. His frontline experiences then gave him the opportunity to work on a multitude of projects, including a role in Quality Assurance planning and the training of people in selected methods and processes, to assure levels of quality. He then moved permanently into the training and assessing field in the mining industry, offering training to mine-site personnel in the operation of mine-site equipment, machinery and site inductions.
His extensive work experience and patient and clear communication style make Denis a very helpful and approachable trainer. He offers training in Construction White Card, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Gas Test Atmospheres, RII Forklift and Elevated Work Platform, Standard 11 Open-cut and First Aid and CPR courses.
